The Future of Arbitration
DESCRIPTION
The ICC Young Arbitrators Forum organises an afternoon educational and social event aiming to provide young professionals in Greece with the opportunity to discuss with international practitioners about the latest developments in international arbitration, with a particular focus on arbitrations conducted under the ICC Rules. Speakers include both in-house and practicing counsel. The discussion will be followed by a networking event.

ICC HELLAS:
Claudia Salomon in conversation with Alexander Fessas
DESCRIPTION
The Arbitration Committee of ICC Hellas organises an interactive event with guest speakers the President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Claudia Salomon, and the Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Alexander Fessas.
Ms Salomon and Mr Fessas will discuss issues of core interest to ICC arbitration, including current and future developments, wider topics relating to commercial disputes, as well as broader geopolitical issues affecting the arbitration landscape in Greece and the wider South-Eastern European region. A Q&A session with the participants will follow.
The in-person event will be followed by a cocktail kindly hosted by Alexander Fessas.

3rd Athens International Arbitration Forum:
Mandatory Rules in International Arbitration
DESCRIPTION
The 3rd International Arbitration Forum in Athens will examine the pervasive and often complex topic of mandatory rules in international arbitration. Leading academics, international arbitrators and arbitration counsel will offer an appraisal of the concept of mandatory rules, its modern relevance in international arbitration practice and its relationship with international and national public policy. The Forum, which will be held physically with online streaming, will include a mixture of keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions.

London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA):
Presentation of LCIA Arbitration Rules
DESCRIPTION
At this event, the Chairman of the LCIA Board, Mr Audley Sheppard KC, and the member of the LCIA, Professor Stavros Brekoulakis, will present the latest LCIA Rules which were introduced in 2020. The LCIA is one of the most popular international arbitration institutions worldwide and its rules are widely used for commercial, corporate, construction and maritime disputes arising out of international transactions. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and a networking breakfast.
